Interests: Non-Profit
Vision: High-school Junior interested in Sociology, the study of how society has developed, how it's arranged, and how it functions.
About
I'm from North Andover, MA, and am a Junior at Pingree School, South Hamilton with a record of academic and extracurricular success. So far, I have been loving my classes at school and also have been researching on "The Philosophy of the Mind". This research is about Philosophy and cognitive science to investigate the nature of the mind, consciousness and cognition. I am currently in the process of applying for summer internships in the field of Sociology.

During my free time, I like walking my pet (Mars), playing guitar, and spending time with my friends. I also love dancing and have been learning Indian Classical Dance for the past 10 years at Triveni School of Dance. During these years, I have learned two styles of dance: Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi. At the start of my freshman year of high school, I joined the Varsity Track & Field team and volunteered at "Open House Food Pantry". Worked as an Assistant Stage manager during Winter musical and Stage manager during the Fall Play for 2 years.

Research:
The Philosophy of the Mind - This research is about philosophy and cognitive science to investigate the nature of mind, consciousness and cognition. These two ideas are heavily debated, mainly to get an understanding about free will, and therefore, moral responsibility, which is when people are held responsible for the actions that they committed, based on whether the action is moral or not. My research mainly focuses on interpreting scientific experiments or on issues that are more philosophical.
